Abhijeet Bahuuddeshiya Sevabhavi Sanstha has worked in rural Maharashtra since 2013, beside the women, children and farmers the harvest depends on.
It began at the edge of a cane field.
In 2013, a small group of organisers in Parbhani could no longer accept what they saw each harvest: families living in roadside camps without water or toilets, women working through illness, children losing whole school years to the season.
So they started where they stood, with health camps that travelled to the camps, and honest conversations under the trees. What grew from that is Abhijeet Sevabhavi: a grassroots organisation rooted in Marathwada and run by people from the communities it serves.
More than a decade later, the work has widened, education, sustainable farming, women's self-help groups, disaster relief, but the method has not changed. We show up, we listen, and we stay.

To secure dignity, safety and opportunity for migrant labour families and rural communities across Maharashtra, through healthcare, education, sustainable livelihoods and the everyday work of organising for one's rights.
