1. Our commitment
We are committed to making this website accessible to as many people as possible, in the spirit of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, which recognises the right to accessible information and communication technology.
2. Standards we aim for
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the widely recognised international standard, and to follow the principles of the Guidelines for Indian Government Websites (GIGW) where relevant.
3. What we do
We aim to provide clear structure and headings, meaningful text alternatives for images, sufficient colour contrast, keyboard-navigable menus and forms, readable text that can be resized, and content that works on a range of devices and slower connections.
4. Available in your language
This website is available in English, Hindi and Marathi, so that the communities we serve and support can read it in a language they are comfortable with.
5. Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some content — for example certain photographs, maps or embedded material — may not yet be fully accessible. We are working to improve this over time. If you encounter a barrier, please tell us and we will help.
